- Celem leczenia przeciwkrzepliwego u pacjentów z migotaniem przedsionków jest zmniejszenie ryzyka zdarzeń zakrzepowo-zatorowych, minimalizując przy tym prawdopodobieństwo wystąpienia działań niepożądanych.
- Według wytycznych ESC zapobieganie udarom mózgu u pacjentów z migotaniem przedsionków kwalifikujących się do terapii przeciwkrzepliwej zaleca się stosowanie NOAC (ang. novel oral anticoagulants).
- Krwawienia są najczęstszym powikłaniem podczas stosowania leków przeciwkrzepliwych.
